ObjectLand 2.7.1 Changes |
added |
Added possibility of storing spatial data in external databases (EDB). This improves access to data for multiuser work in comparison with using ObjectLand internal database. A user can create arbitrary layers in EDB. Features of external layers must be linked with records from the same EDB. Following DBMS are supported: - MS SQL Server,
- Oracle,
- DB2,
- MySQL(transactional DB only),
- Interbase/Firebird,
- PostgreSQL,
- MS Access.

changed |
The copying wizard allows operations between maps and layers belonging to ObjectLand internal database and layers of external database, and vice versa. As before these operations involve copying linked tables. |
added |
External layers have the same maintenance service as maps — import, export, transformation and so on. |
changed |
Now the theme may contain layers from different maps and external databases. Layers of theme may be on-the-fly transformed during displaying theme (both all theme and individual layer, “Transformation” sheet in properties dialogs). |
changed |
Renaming layers and types in theme is now possible. Also you can turn on/off visibility of components in theme without removing their from theme (as it was formerly). “Legend” dialog of theme browser was extended for rapid control of visibility and selectability for features of specified component. |
added |
Added wizards for data definition manipulation in external databases (creating and altering table and so on). |
added |
Added tooltips in listview controls and table browser for displaying truncated texts. |
