SetMapSymbol(filterResult, scaleZone, mapSymbol)
Sets a map symbol applied to display point features of the specified type for which applying the filter results in filterResult. The result of applying the filter is defined by constants given in the "Results of Applying Filter Conditions" table. The scaleZone argument specifies the scale zone in the theme for which the map symbol is set. If the scaleZone argument is not Null, then the filterResult argument is ignored. The mapSymbol argument is the MapSymbol object. If the mapSymbol argument equals Null, the map symbol is cancelled. If the Layer object (the feature type owner) belongs to the Theme::Layers collection, the map symbol influences only the style of displaying point features of the specified type of the theme (the layer owner). If the Layer object (the feature type owner) does not belong to the Theme::Layers collection, only the gdbFilterResultIndifferent constant can be used as the filterResult argument and the scaleZone argument must be Null. This method can be applied to feature types of spatial category point (the FeatureType::SpatialCategory property returns the gdbSpatialCategoryPoint constant). If the feature type belongs to a work layer, only the gdbFilterResultIndifferent constant can be used as the filterResult argument.
